The West Park teamed up with the fantastic Slingsby Gin to start Christmas early, to enjoy fantastic festive inspired cocktails and a beautiful dinner.
Slingsby Gin has always been a favourite of the people of Harrogate as it’s roots start within the Yorkshire town. In 1571 William Slingsby discovered the unique properties of the natural spring water from Harrogate’s Tewit Well. His discovery brought visitors from all around to the wonderfully picturesque spa town.
Inspired by this story, founders Marcus Black and Mike Carthy created the brand we all know and love today. They wanted to create a product that would celebrate this heritage and bring to life the essence and restorative nature of Harrogate. In 2014, the Spirit of Harrogate was born.
Paulo Pinto has decided to embark on a new chapter in his managerial career by joining The Carpenters Arms team. We see him leave The Punch Bowl after 2 glorious years in charge. He will be sadly missed by The Punch Bowl faithful, who have developed a special bond with him.
He moves to The Carpenters Arms, another of our inns, to take on an even bigger challenge, one that he relishes. Everyone at Provenance Inns are excited about this new chapter in Paulo’s career and we wish him good luck!
We are very pleased to reveal a brilliant review of our restaurant and boutique hotel, The Cleveland Tontine from La Di Da Magazine.
The Cleveland Tontine sets the standards for some of our other Inns & Restaurants with its beautifully cooked food, overlooked by Head Chef Luke Taylor, and its high end service from General Manager Bartek Malecki and the front of house team that make our guests stay a memorable one.
We are proud of this review as it shows that the hard work our restaurant and hotel do is paying dividends.

On July 31st, Paws across Britain produced a wonderful review of our Inn, The Oak Tree. The Oak Tree is a dog-friendly inn, like many of our other inns & restaurants. Kelly & Elsa (a little Lhasa Apso) came to the Oak Tree to experience the friendly atmosphere and hospitality that General Manager Lizzie is well-renowned for in the Helperby area. Having enjoyed a beautifully cooked dinner, they spent the night in one of The Oak’s dog-friendly accommodations. We were very pleased to see they had an amazing stay!

The West Park Hotel has been a premium partner of The Harrogate International Festival. To celebrate the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival, The West Park created a celebratory cocktail in honour of this. Titled Death by Chocolate, the cocktail oozes luxuriousness. The ingredients of Death by Chocolate include White Cacao Liqueur, coconut rum Koko Kanu and the dessert wine Pedro Ximenez, with garnishes of chocolate ganache and Kirsch.
